Aaron S. Wilson

birthday: 6-27-70
funniest/most memorable birthday: turning 30 was very difficult, but Anita threw a suprise party for me with family & friends at Red Lobster
where were you born: Oxford, England - can't you recognize my accent? brothers/sisters: Lisa, 3 yrs. younger
favorite food: oh yeah! pepperoni pizza and fried chicken - but not together
favorite color: orange
what I do to relax: read...piddling in the yard or garage
what I do for fun: play "Oh No!" with Aaron Job & Abby (our version of wrestling), spend time with family, not-so-light yard work , have friends over to our home
my biggest pet peeve: poor & unprofessional customer service
what's in your cd player right now? John MacArthur sermon "Can I Lose My Salvation?"
something others would be suprised to know about me: I was kind of uncool in school, a bit nerdy, but finally came out of my shell when I played the air guitar (actually a tennis racket) in a lip sync to Poison's cover of KISS's "Rock-n-Roll All Night" in front of the entire high school. I have it on tape if you want to see.
and the dinner question: any five dinner guests, dead or alive: Jim Elliot, John MacArthur, my Papaw, my dad when he was a teenager, me when I was a teenager
favorite Bible verse(s): Psalm 119, Romans (the whole book), 1 Tim 1:12-17
all time favorite books (other than Bible): A Passion for God-Ray Ortlund, Jr.; Ashamed of the Gospel, MacArthur; The Pursuit of Holiness, Jerry Bridges; and Me and My Dad, by Mercer Mayer
a memorable spiritual experience in your life: my redemption. If you'd have known me before, it would be as memorable for you as well.
the most rewarding thing about your job/life: being a father & husband

when I'm gone, what I want others to say about me: May I use the words of an old Geoff Moore song? "Will they say I loved my family, that I was a faithful friend? That I lived to tell of God's own Son, when all is said and done?"
your favorite childhood pet & it's name: Never had one. Never. But, an ex-girlfriend did buy me a cocker spaniel named "Pappy" when I was 20. I loved him. But he was mean and bit me several times (I still have scars) and bit Anita on the big toe once. She cried. Anita ran over him one day...and I cried and cried and cried...and said there would never be another. Three days later we got "PJ". He looked just like Pappy, but he was nice. He had epilepsy and had to be put to sleep. Both dogs would lap milk out of my mouth while I laid on my back. Cool.
most embarrassing moment: I was in 6th grade, on the playground before school & an 8th grader pulled my warm-ups down. I stood for all of 3 seconds in my underwear. I cried and then turned him in.
most influential person in your life (besides Jesus): my wife, John MacArthur, BCLR Pastors
